ProBiotix Health plc (AQSE: PBX), the life sciences business developing probiotics to support cardiometabolic health, is pleased to announce a new partnership agreement with Slovakia based iProbio.

ProBiotix has secured a commercial cooperation with iProbio to supply its patented probiotic strain LPLDL® for a new cardiometabolic health food supplement branded as CARDIObiom+®, a product developed by the iProbio consumer brand of PerBiotiX s.r.o., a leading Slovak based probiotics company.

Cardiovascular disease mortality in Slovakia is estimated to be around 50% higher than the EU average, while hypercholesterolaemia is estimated to affect approximately 49% of adults in the country1, reinforcing the importance of supporting cardiovascular and metabolic health. CARDIObiom+® was officially launched in Slovakia to coincide with World Hypertension Day, and a global awareness campaign focused on cardiovascular health.

After an extensive evaluation of clinically validated ingredients in the cardiometabolic space, iProbio selected LPLDL® for its robust clinical evidence in supporting healthy cholesterol levels. CARDIObiom+® combines LPLDL® with a standardised polyphenol-rich extract of lemon verbena (Aloysia citrodora) and hibiscus (Hibiscus sabdariffa), together with vitamin D3 and vitamin B1, in a dual-capsule daily dose designed to support cholesterol metabolism, lipid and glucose metabolism, and overall metabolic balance.

The new product will initially be distributed in Slovakia through iProbio's direct e-commerce channel, with further distribution spanning pharmacies, health food stores, and partner retailers. ProBiotix will supply its active ingredient LPLDL® whereupon iProbio will be responsible for manufacturing, packaging and branding of the product. Further expansion beyond Slovakia is expected in the Czech Republic and in additional Central European markets.
